Introduction to Whitewater Rafting
The Rogue River "Nugget" whitewater rafting trip is the perfect addition to anyone's visit to the Southern Oregon area. Experience the thrill of Class 3+ Nugget Falls and the Class 4 excitement of Powerhouse rapid in addition to many other exciting rapids that guarantee to get you wet! No experience is required and this trip is a great introduction to white water rafting for beginners as well as exciting for experienced rafters. The "Nugget" half day trip is one of our most popular!

Challenge Nugget & Powerhouse Rapids
We begin our trip on mellow warm-up water, where the rapids start out small and easy. This is a great introduction to rafting and a warm up for beginners leading up to the exciting class III+ Nugget Falls and the class IV grand finale Powerhouse rapid. Both beginners and experienced paddlers find the Rogue River Nugget an exciting and enjoyable ride.
While floating in between rapids make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the abundance of birds such as osprey and blue herons who inhabit the Rogue River. You might even see salmon jumping and struggling to make it up and over Nugget Falls and Powerhouse rapid. The "Nugget" is a great way to spend the day on the river if you don't have a lot of time. Join us for this thrilling "taste test" that will leave you with visions of your next rafting trip swimming in your head.
The "Nugget" trip from pick up to drop off typically takes about 4 to 4.5 hours. We will have you back in plenty of time for an evening play at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
