Water flows are huge in Oregon & Northern CaliforniaRainy winter brings much needed waterWritten by Leslie DoppThe winter has been a wet one. For me it's been a great winter for skiing and for those brave souls, kayaking. But people, including myself, are longing for those sunny Southern Oregon days floating down the river and basking in the sun. Because of the rain deluge since December some of the rivers are at flood stage or close to it. This will provide us with lots of water all summer long and probably not much low water boating. For a river guide and kayaker this is exciting since the past couple of summers we have been longing for water. Get out there this summer and take advantage of what the high water has to offer. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦
