Summer Dreamin’

Dreamin’ of long lazy days floating down the river

Written by LD

Hello! We hope everyone is having a great start to spring. Daylight savings time is starting this weekend which means spring and one step closer to summer. Wow! This means that right now we are busy trying to get everything in place for the 2007 rafting season. We're exited to share with you some more reasons why you should go rafting or inflatable kayaking with Kokopelli River Guides.

The top six reasons to go down the river with Kokopelli:
1. Professional, fun, friendly guides who love what they do. Ask Greg to do a back flip for you.
2. We have the best food on our river trips. The smores are always a hit!
3. Bocce Ball and Croquet matches on our overnight rafting trips-Leslie can play a mean bocce ball game.
4. Quality equipment that is maintained and cleaned daily. Kyle and Brock do a great job!
5. Our vehicles are the cleanest of any company in Ashland-vacuumed and washed after every trip-our vans don't stink! We want you to be comfortable and impressed with us-first impressions are important.
6. We are the best! No, modesty is not something we're good at.

So now you know the top 6 reasons for taking a trip with us here's just a little bit more about our favorite summertime river adventures. With all of the rain and snow we're been getting lately it looks like it will be a great summer for a half day rafting trip on the Rogue River Nugget. The Rogue Nugget is one of our most popular rafting trips and is suitable for beginners ages 8 and up. If you've been to Ashland, Oregon in the summer months before you know it's a great place to visit, but it can get pretty hot. Getting out on the river is the best way to cool off!

We're really excited about our Lower Klamath Multi-Day rafting and inflatable kayaking trips. again this year. Last summer we had some great groups of people join us on 3 day Lower Klamath trips. They had the time of their lives especially since for some of them this was their first rafting trip or first overnight river trip ever. We had lots of fun jumping in the river for a swim and cooling off on those really hot days. Many of our past guests have opted for paddling an inflatable kayak on the trip instead of riding in the raft. This makes for a more thrilling ride since you are up close and personal with the water and in charge of your own boat. We also had a blast hiking up to Ukonom Falls and playing Bocce Ball on the sandy beaches before dinner. Evenings were also enjoyable sitting around the campfire talking, laughing, telling stories, and gazing at the stars. The Lower Klamath river trip is really a life changing experience and is one that you should experience.

Here's a testimonial from some guests from a 2006 Lower Klamath trip...
"Just a quick note to say that we had a perfect trip with you down the Klamath last week. The high spots were the IK, the hike and the brownies! Many thanks."
-Bob and Claire Miller.Truckee, CA.

Don't forget that our Pre-Season Booking Special will expire April 15, 2007. Reserve your trip by April 15th and recieve 15% off any half day or full day rafting or inflatable kayaking trip. This is a great deal that you shouldn't miss out on. We look forward to meeting you this summer!

Happy Paddling,
Matt & Leslie-owners
