TREE OF HEAVEN

The Klamath River Tree of Heaven section is a Northern California gem, a little known secret, and is one of our favorites. Rafters of any age are invited to join us on this trip and be engulfed in the beauty and wonder of this amazing Northern California desert canyon. The Klamath River is close to Ashland, Oregon. On the way to the river we'll cross the highest point on Interstate 5 and get a breathtaking view of Mount Shasta. This is just the first of the many highlights of our trip. Many playful rapids like Humbug rapid and Schoolhouse rapid await you to thrill and delight. You will find on this rafting trip that most weekdays you will rarely see anyone else on the river and on the weekends you may see a couple of other groups rafting and kayaking.

KLAMATH RIVER HISTORY

Sunshine, wildlife, Native American and mining history of the Klamath River are more than abundant on this "Wild and Scenic " stretch of the river. We begin most of our trips at the beautiful Tree of Heaven campground. This campground was once was once home to Chinese immigrants who farmed the area and grew vegetables to sell to the area miners. The "tree of heaven" is a deciduous tree that was brought in to this area for its' medicinal and cultural importance and to remind the Chinese inhabitants of their homeland. While on your rafting trip ask your guide to show you the "tree of heaven".

ABUNDANT WILDLIFE

Another highlight of the Klamath River Tree of Heaven raft trip is that dozens of colorful birds illuminate the horizon, a treat for birding enthusiasts. Our professional guides will point out the Western pond turtles, mule deer, otters, and great blue herons that call the Klamath River canyon home. If you have a keen eye you may also catch a glimpse of a bald eagle soaring above.

This trip is what spending time on the river is all about. All of this can be seen from the raft or while floating in the warm, summer waters of the Klamath River in your bathing suit and lifejacket. Join us on a journey down the beautiful Klamath River canyon.

Relax and enjoy river life as it's meant to be.
