WILD AND SCENIC RIVER
Most of the rapids on this stretch of the Lower Klamath are Class 2 & 3. Dragon's Tooth is a moderate Class 4 rapid and if you want to walk around it there is a safe place to do so. This is a relaxing vacation for families or anyone else who likes to have fun! We'll pass points on the river such as Clear Creek, a beautiful class 3-5 gorge with crystal clear water that flows into the Klamath River. At the end of the day we pull over and set up camp on one of the many roomy beaches alongside the river. We will stop at Ukomon Creek and hike up to Ukonom Falls to the swimming hole which is a must on every Lower Klamath trip.
INFLATABLE KAYAKING
Inflatable kayaks are a great addition to any Lower Klamath trip for the thrill seeker. Paddle an inflatable kayak the entire trip through Class 2 and Class 3 rapids or you can ride in the raft and hop into the kayak when you would like. You are the captain of your own boat which makes for a thrilling ride! If you would like to add kayaks to the trip please let us know at the time of your reservation.
"I'm still thinking about the trip - it was so awesome meeting you all. I agree, it definitely felt like we were leaving old friends at the end."

SOLITUDE IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS
The scenery is amazing on the Klamath River and is in a beautiful wilderness setting. This remote river does not see a lot of traffic on a busy summer day unlike others in the Southern Oregon and Northern California region. Most of the time we are on the water we rarely see another group floating past us so we have it all to ourself! Solitude and relaxation are what our Lower K trips are all about.
The lower section of the Klamath River is followed by rural Highway 96. For most of the river trip the road is hidden by the forest that lines the river banks. The closer you come to the Pacific Ocean, the river corridor changes character. The river canyon begins with high desert scenery and then changes to lush green forests because of the moist air coming off the ocean. Wildlife is abundant in the canyon and you could possibly spot bald eagles, black bears, osprey, and otters.
BOATING AND CAMPING GEAR

Sleep in our comfortable tents and sleeping bags that are laundered after every trip and on our luxuriously comfortable 3" thick sleeping pads. You'll almost feel like you're sleeping in your own bed at home! PLease let us know if you need camping equipment at the time of our reservation.
