We are so dreaming of summer right now. It is really cold in Ashland today. The temperature topped out at 31 degrees! Brrrrr! This seems like it has been the longest continuous cold spell that we've seen here in Southern Oregon for many years. Everyone is feeling it.
Today I took the dog on a walk and it was gnarly. The ground was frozen and mostly covered with ice. I was really dreaming of being on the river- relaxing, floating, soaking in the sun, and hitting some big rapids. I know...it will come before we know it. Rafting trips that I'm looking forward to this spring are some multi-day river rafting trips...the Owyhee River and a Lower Rogue trip. Hopefully we'll be able to squeeze them in before the season hits and it gets crazy busy around here.
Speaking of being busy this summer...It will be busy. We are planning on a big increase in rafting business due to some changes that are happening with another local company no longer being business. That will mean we will be busier as we absorb their business. We look forward to it. It's always more fun to be busy and playing on the river with some really cool people that we meet everyday.
Sigh...I pause with my thoughts. Another river daydream enters my thoughts and I wake myself up and remind myself that it will soon be here. I also remind myself too that we're catching a plane tomorrow to Florida!
