On Monday May 19th, 17 high school students and two chaperones rafted with us down the Rogue River Nugget. It was Surprise Valley High School's fourth year of joining us on a spring rewards trip for these honor students who stayed on the honor roll throughout the school year.
The kids joined us this year for a high water trip. The Rogue River spiked up to a level over 7,000 cubic feet per second and the kids enjoyed some big thrills. Nugget rapid was HUGE! This was the biggest water that the students had ever experienced. It was pretty exciting for kids that live in the Northeastern California desert in Cedarville where there are no rivers like this.
We look forward to seeing the kids again next year. They are a lot of fun!
