Bring it on!

LD

It seems that every year Halloween hits and the rains begin...how does that work? Does Mother Nature set her alarm to rain on Oct 31st? It seems like it and that is exactly what has happened. We're experiencing some sort of showers everyday since the end of October. We enjoy it here in the Pacific Northwest because if it rains and snows in the winter it means there will be plenty of water for rafting and kayaking! We love it!

If you haven't been to the Ashland, Oregon area in the spring, well you're missing out! Besides all of the green that you will see, there is an amazing amount of flowers blooming and sunshine. It is a magical time of year. What is also magical is the rivers...they are pumping all of the melting snow down their drainages. It is exciting and gets us all pumped up to go paddle on them.

The California Salmon (Cal Salmon) is running in the spring which is always a favorite for our returning, ambitious guests. The Owyhee River, located in Eastern Oregon is also running and is always a treat for everyone with its amazing desert scenery, swift rapids, and hot springs. It doesn't get better!

We look forward to seeing what happens this winter, how much rain and snow we will get, and how much the rivers will come up. In this business we live our lives by the calendar and the weather...and we love it! We know you will too!
