March 2010 is going down in the books as one of the busiest for us here at Kokopelli River Guides. Typically we don't even put a raft of kayak on the river until April at the earliest.
This March we will be river rafting with the Bureau of Reclamation and helping them with another survey of the river sediment around the old Savage Rapids dam site on the Rogue River.
There are also a few hearty souls who decided they want to take a 6 day whitewater kayak class with us in March. We will spend six days with them kayaking on the Klamath River as well as paddling on a few creeks in the Klamath River drainage. Our instructor will work with them on fine tuning their Class 3 kayaking skills in preparation to be competent to paddle Class 4 rapids. Swiftwater rescue skills will also be taught in this course.
If rafting and kayaking sounds like something you want to do this summer, reserve your trip by April 1, 2010 and you will get 15% off any half day or full day river rafting trip or inflatable kayaking adventure.
We look forward to spending time with you on the river this year and will take you on a river adventure of a lifetime!
