Multi-Day River Trips

Thank you for choosing to spend some time on a whitewater rafting or inflatable kayaking trip with Kokopelli River Guides. We will provide you with an amazing river adventure. We strive to give you the very best experience possible.

Here is a comprehensive packing list for all sorts of weather conditions of what you should bring on your multi-day river trip and what we provide. Please use discretion on how much you pack and don't bring too much. We can only haul a certain amount of gear on our gear boat(s). On our multi-day rafting trips and inflatable kayaking trips rental camping equipment is available if you don't have your own or don't want to travel with it. WHAT TO BRING ON MULTI-DAY RAFTING & INFLATABLE KAYAK TRIPS:

  • Sports Bottle for water (Nalgene type bottle)
  • Hat for the sun
  • Sunscreen & Lip Balm
  • Sunglasses with Strap
  • Waterproof Camera
  • Tents w/rain fly & ground cloth (smaller backpacker style)(Rentals available)
  • Sleeping Bags (Rentals available)
  • Sleeping Pads (Rentals available)
  • Insect repellent
  • Bathing suit
  • Towel
  • Hand towel & washcloth
  • Quick drying shorts (1 or 2 pair)
  • Long pants
  • T-shirts (1-3)
  • Wool sweater, fleece or Polypro jacket (for cooler weather and/or evening)
  • Lightweight rain gear
  • River sandals (on & off river)
  • Lightweight hiking shoes (for off river)
  • Wool or polypro/fleece socks
  • Synthetic thermal underwear (top & bottom)
  • Large plastic bag (for dirty or wet clothes)
  • Favorite Book & games
  • Personal Hygiene Items (please choose biodegradable soaps such as Dr. Bronners)
  • Medications (if needed)

WHAT WE PROVIDE:

RIVER GEAR

  • 2 duffel style dry bags per person (1 for clothes, 1 for sleeping bag and tent)
  • 1 Small dry bag on boat for camera and sunscreen
  • Personal Floation Device (Life Jacket)
  • Booties
  • Wetsuit (if needed)
  • Helmet (if needed)
  • Nylon Splash Jacket
  • First Aid

MEALS

All meals will be provided from lunch the first day through lunch the last day of your river trip. Please let us know prior to your trip if you have any dietary restrictions. We will provide coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and juice at breakfast. Throughout the day water and sodas will be available. Please feel free to bring your own alchoholic beverages for the evening. The only trip we will provide wine on is our Wine and Wellness River Trip. If you have any special food requests such as a birthday cake or your favorite meal please let us know at the time of reservation.

RENTALS

We have tents, sleeping bag, sleeping pad rentals available to rent if you will not be bringing your own camping gear or do not want to travel with it. Our camping equipment is freshly laundered after every river trip. Our sleeping pads are the super comfortable 3" thick Landing Pads. You'll get the best night's sleep camping that you ever had!

Rental Cost:

  • $10/sleeping bag
  • $10/tent
  • $5/3" thick sleeping pad

All of our guides are highly trained professionals that love what they do and work hard to give you the very best river experience possible. Although they will not solicit or expect gratuities, it is always appreciated.
