WHO IS KOKOPELLI?

The Legend Lives On

Kokopelli is pronounced somewhat like this: "Cocoa-Pell-ee." Many people know the figure of "Kokopelli" as the humpbacked flute player. He is celebrated in the Hopi Indian legends. The Hopi tribe thrived in the Southwestern United States and worshipped the fertility that the rivers brought and the mischief that life is full of. Kokopelli signifies this union of life and happiness in their history, dancing and frolicking throughout legend to the song of his own music.

We at Kokopelli feel this is also our purpose. We strive to awaken the joy and life force within everyone that joins us on our guided whitewater rafting trips or kayak lessons.
