Small Rafting & Inflatable Kayaking Trips:

Kokopelli River Guides is a small company where we get to know our guests personally with individulized attention. The owners, Matt and Leslie Dopp, are often guiding some of the rafting trips and inflatable kayaking trips. Matt and Leslie love the river just as much as their guides and want to share that love for the river with you. They didn't want to create a company where they truly didn't get to know their customers. We don't want your first rafting experience with Kokopelli River Guides to be one of feeling "lost in the crowd". Our guides will address your fears and help you to feel comfortable as the raft shoves off from shore on your whitewater rafting adventure. We want you to feel confident in the company you chose for a river adventure and we will make you happy you chose Kokopelli River Guides!

Excellent Safety Record:

Our Safety record is impeccable. All of our guides are swiftwater rescue trained and certified as well as advanced first aid and CPR certified. Our guides have many years of experience guiding and are confident on rivers ranging anywhere from Class 1-Class 5. On all of our Class 4+ and Class 5 rafting trips we have a safety kayaker or safety raft along on the trip to insure that your trip runs smoothly. We are the only company in Ashland who includes this added safety feature and we are proud of it!

Family Friendly River Trips:

We think spending time in the Great Outdoors is the best way to bond with your family. Several of our trips are suitable for kids ages 6 and up. We also have a couple of float trips that are suitable for even the youngest of children. Overnight trips are also a great way to introduce kids to camping and rafting. These are trips that the kids won't forget and they will beg you to take them again year after year.

We are Fun!

We hire guides who have great personalities and who like to have fun with their guests. Whether it's Greg doing a backflip off the back of the raft or playing your favorite songs on his guitar around the campfire... or Larry telling stories of hair raising rafting adventures, you won't be bored. Our guides also have a wealth of knowledge of the history, wildlife, and scenery of the Southern Oregon and Northern California region. Games are always part of the fun on river trips. On our multi-day Lower Klamath and Owyhee rafting trips and our overnight Upper Klamath trips we bring along the Bocce Ball set or Croquet set for some before dinner competition. These games are such a fun way to bond with the group especially since you won't be able to stop laughing! We'll show you such a good time on all of our whitewater rafting trips that you will be dreaming of the next one you'll take next summer.

One of our river guides, Greg, loves to cook delicious riverside meals for our guests.

Delicious Meals:

We love to eat so we love to have really good food on our river trips. We know that you will enjoy our lunches and snacks that are hearty and healthy. Our full day rafting trips included a gourmet deli-style lunch with plenty of sandwich fixins, salad, and gourmet chocolate chip cookies. On our multi-day rafting trips we serve more than enough food to satisfy even the hugriest appetites. We will serve you dinners such as steak and BBQ chicken with salad, garlic bread, and homemade blackberry cobbler with whip cream. Vegetarian options are available as well. A typical breakfast is blueberry pancakes with sausage and eggs and of course... plenty of coffee to wake you up. Let us know if you have any special dietary needs and we will work with you to accomodate them.

Transportation:

We will drive you to and from the river in our clean vehicles that are detailed after every river trip. We are proud to pick you up and have you impressed by the cleanliness of our vehicles. If you have ever been to Ashland in the summer time...well, it's HOT! You will really appreciate climbing into our airconditioned vehicles for a comfortable ride to the river. We are really proud to say that you will have the best ride with Kokopelli to the river and on the river!

Thanks for taking the time to look at our website. We look forward to taking you on a river adventure of a lifetime!
